Mother Of All Bikes 2009

First trip to Moab 2009 on my new bike. 2009 Specialized FSR XC Expert. Zac finally gets a new ride. Totally loved the bike, one of the better trips I have had in Moab despite tearing some ligaments in my ankle on the last day. Dropped off about a 10 foot cliff, you know. We rode Sovereign Trail on Friday followed by a round of golf and then did Amasa Back on Saturday.

The back porch of our humble abode down in Moab. Bikes and golf clubs makes for a great trip.

Picture of my bike, (in front) and a few others on Sovereign trail.

Tarantula Mesa eerrrrr Gooseberry Mesa

So here are a few pics from Gooseberry Mesa this past weekend. Great ride which is now one of my new favorite trails in southern Utah. It is located near St George just outside of Hurricane Utah. We did the South Rim trail out to the Point with the Hidden Canyon variation on the way back ending with a sprint to the trail head and Chris winning by a tire. Was about 14 miles in all and we did it in just over 3 hours. Weather was near perfect for us. Here is a site with the details of the area. http://www.utahmountainbiking.com/trails/goose.htm

Our nightly visitor as we were cleaning up getting ready for bed. That is a quarter next to it for size reference. Made us double check the tent and sleeping bags that night for sure.

"Black hole sun" rise. Dont know why the picture ended up that way. but it is pretty cool.

If you haven't read this...

You definitely should. I stumbled across this about a year ago and then again yesterday. It's awesome . I highly recommend that you read the following entries located under "top posts".

1. How to be popular, Part 1: What to bring
2. How to be popular, Part 2: How to behave
3. How to size up the competition

I have been stuck in a class that I hate and these made it much more enjoyable. The hard part was to keep from laughing while my professor is lecturing.
